Mother's sentence reduced in abuse of young daughter
Sarena Sherrard went to court Tuesday looking for mercy.
After scolding her for her selfishness, a judge shaved 18 months off her prison sentence.
Sherrard, 22, pleaded guilty to child abuse in January 2007 and was sentenced to 15½ years in prison. The remainder of her 30-year sentence was suspended.
