ESPN suspends Jacobson
Dana Jacobson, co-host of "First Take” on ESPN2, is serving a one-week suspension because of her behavior at a Jan. 11 roast for ESPN Radio personalities Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic at Atlantic City, N.J., the Chicago Tribune reported. While declining to confirm Jacobson had been suspended, ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said, "Her actions and comments were inappropriate and we've dealt with it.” Jacobson has since apologized for the remarks.
•All-Star starters to be announced:
TNT will announce the NBA All-Star Game starters at 6 tonight as part of a special one-hour edition of "NBA Tip-Off.” TNT will broadcast the 2008 All-Star Game from New Orleans at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17.
•HBO replays Trinidad-Jones:
HBO's "Boxing After Dark” series kicks off the new year at 9 p.m. Saturday with a replay of the Felix Trinidad-Roy Jones Jr. light heavyweight showdown. Jones scored a unanimous 12-round decision victory Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.
•Winter X Games 12 in HD:
Beginning today, ESPN and ABC will combine for 15 hours of live coverage of Winter X Games 12 from Aspen, Colo. For the first time, the coverage will be in HD.
•Harlem Globetrotters special:
The Harlem Globetrotters return to network television with a special commemorating their 80th anniversary at 7 p.m. Monday on KAUT-43. The special will look back at some of the team's legendary players.
