We're hearing a lot about Jermie Calhoun. Does his running style resemble AD or DeMarco Murray?

Calhoun's style is more Adrian Peterson than Murray, but the best comparison might be Allen Patrick.

Calhoun will look for contact, but his biggest asset is his ability to make cuts in the open field, which led to several long touchdown runs for him in high school.

The same was true for Patrick the past two seasons at OU.

After receiving a verbal commitment from junior-college linebacker J.R. Bryant this past week, who else is Oklahoma now recruiting?

At this point, the Sooners have two scholarships left.

One of those will be reserved for Julio Jones, the top wide receiver in the nation, who is visiting Norman this weekend.

The Sooners already have verbal commitments from three top-notch receivers in Jameel Owens, Josh Jarboe and Dejuan Miller, but this is one of the deepest receiving classes in years and OU wants to capitalize to give young quarterback Sam Bradford ample targets for the next three years.

After that, OU likely will focus on snagging one more defensive back, preferably a cornerback.

That final offer could go to four-star athlete Xavier Henry (Ellenwood, Ga.), who attended the same high school as Jarboe.

Henry has committed to Georgia, but Jarboe might sway his former teammate to become a Sooner.

With one week left until signing day, how is this Sooner class shaping up?

If OU somehow signs Jones, this class should finish in the nation's top five. But even if Jones ends up elsewhere, this class will be one of the strongest ever brought in by Bob Stoops.

Already, the Sooners have seven commitments ranked among the nation's top 100 players, including the three best players out of Texas in Calhoun, defensive end R.J. Washington and offensive tackle Stephen Good.

OU should finish with the best class in the Big 12, with Texas second.

Have there been any developments with Sooners and the NFL Draft?

The biggest news has been the rise of receiver Malcolm Kelly and cornerback Reggie Smith up the mock draft charts.

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. ranks Kelly as the top receiver available in the draft, which means that if all holds true, Kelly could end up going early in the first round.

Smith, meanwhile, has been viewed as a possible first-round selection, but he will likely need a strong performance at next month's combine to go that high.
