Krebs man dies in overnight accident

HARTSHORNE — A Krebs man died late Saturday in a head-on collision near Hartshorne in Pittsburg County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Michael J. Wisenant, 28, was westbound on State Highway 1 about 9 p.m. when his car traveled left of center for an unknown reason, colliding with an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Rickie L. Sudduth, 51 of Haileyville, the patrol said.

Both were taken to a McAlester hospital, where Wisenant died. Sudduth was treated for minor injuries and released.

Sudduth was wearing a seat belt. Wisenant was not.
