More couples deciding not to tie the knot
Marriage may no longer be a more perfect union for some Oklahoma couples, experts say. And for others, just not right away.
Marriage license applications in Oklahoma County declined to their lowest number in at least two decades in 2007, when 5,623 applications were issued. It was the first time the state's most populous county had fewer than 6,000 couples ready to say "I do” in at least 20 years.
