House subcommittee approves slate of anti-abortion bills

OKLAHOMA CITY - State lawmakers gave preliminary approval Monday to a slate of anti-abortion measures that supporters said will strengthen informed consent rules for pregnant women and further tighten state abortion guidelines.

Abortion opponents support eight House and Senate bills filed in the 2008 Legislature, including one that would regulate the so-called abortion pill, RU-486.
