STILLWATER — Oklahoma State will likely have several 2009 basketball recruits in town for this weekend's game against Kansas.

Roger Franklin, a junior from Duncanville, Texas, will likely be in attendance. The 6-foot-6, 217-pound prospect might be accompanied by high school and AAU teammate Shawn Williams.
Williams is a highly sought-after 6-6 small forward. The two are looking to defend Duncanville's 5A state title this season.
John Wall, a Rivals.com five-star from North Carolina, was previously scheduled to attend the Kansas game but will not. Wall attended the OSU-Texas game last month.
OSU is currently looking at several junior college players to come in next season. That includes two players from the College of Southern Idaho, where current Cowboy Brad Garrett played junior college ball.
Point guard Kevin Galloway, a California native who played at USC, averages 8.6 assists and 8.2 points at Southern Idaho. Galloway is considering several schools, including Kentucky.
Juan Pattilla is another CSI player of interest. The 6-foot-7 forward averages 17.7 points and 7.2 rebounds for the undefeated Golden Eagles.
The Cowboys are looking at Texas junior colleges, too. Tyrone Appleton is a 6- 3 guard at Midland College. Appleton, originally from Gary, Ind., has visited Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa State and San Jose State, according to Rivals.com.

Does anybody know how many scholarships we will have available? I know we were really thin last year, but we added several scholarship players this year and I think Dove is the only guy we graduate this year. I was just wondering if we really have room for all the juco guys they are looking at.
This is one of the worst shooting % teams we have had in a while. While they are athletic we miss a true set and shoot guard. We need some one who can stretch the defense and allow the guards to penetrate and get to the rim. A point guard that can shoot and distribute effectively as well as a true big man that can control the paint and contribute on the boards would go along way towards building the current roster into the future. I think Moses, Thomas, and Adams are developing well and will be an effective front court next year.
But we desperately need a point guard. Eaton is not cutting it, and sorry, Brad but you can NOT teach someone to be a good point guard. The skills required go beyond basketball skills to decision making and cool headedness. Eaton has neither. Maybe Keiton Page will have the goods, but we need someone to step into that role badly, or Sean will REALLY be under fine next season.
Hopefully we will have a good turnout as far as fans. One of the biggest selling points of OSU is the crowd. And Jeremy, I agree, we don't need more shooting guards.
SPECIFICALLY CENTERS...I'D LIKE TO SEE A COUPLE 6-10 & 6-11 GUYS. WE HAVE ENOUGH GUARDS THAT SOMEONE CAN LEARN THE POINT IF THEY HAVE TO, BUT WE DON'T HAVE ANYONE THAT PLAYS A TRUE CENTER.
If Sean is interested in keeping his job beyond next season, I would highly recommend that he sign 2 PG's and 2 centers. Why are they even bringing any forwards in for visits? He should have learned by now that a team full of SG's and forwards is not going to work.
