Q: Even though Sam Bradford had a phenomenal season in '07 it seems his only drawback is his limited mobility and thus taking away the threat of a QB running play. Since Keith Nichol does provide that dual threat behind center, will he have a shot at unseating Sam if he performs well in the spring and summer drills? — Michael, Denver
A: Nichol has mobility, but he would have to secure the powers of The Flash to unseat Bradford.
Since Bob Stoops came to Norman, OU hasn't relied on quarterback mobility to score points anyway. Count on Bradford quarterbacking OU for as long as he dons a Sooner uniform.
Q: I hear that Chris Brown and DeMarco Murray will be missing the spring because of injuries. Where does that leave OU at running back? — Tom, Oklahoma City
A: Mossis Madu should get the bulk of the carries and right behind him will be incoming freshman Justin Johnson, who enrolled early in order to participate in spring practice.
Madu has been overshadowed by the other running backs, but this will be his opportunity to prove he can be part of the rotation along with Murray and Brown. Johnson has the chance to gain a step on fellow incoming freshman Jermie Calhoun as to who will become the primary ball carrier from the 2008 signing class.
