Three and done
When spring practice begins next week Oklahoma State's two new offensive coordinators — Trooper Taylor and Gunter Brewer — will begin working as a tandem.

OSU plans to use the same no-huddle, spread offense that was installed by former offensive coordinator Larry Fedora, an offense that was ranked seventh nationally last season.

"It's the fourth year of the offense,” Fedora said. "Everyone there has been in this offense for three years, including Zac (Robinson).

"My problem is I've never gotten to experience what it's like that fourth year.”

Fedora was at Middle Tennessee for three years, two seasons at Florida and three years at OSU before he was named head coach at Southern Mississippi in December.

Quarterback watch: Since the Cowboys didn't sign a quarterback in its 2008 class, signing at least one quarterback will be a priority in 2009.

One of the nation's top prospects, Ryan Mossakowski, the No. 54 player in the country according to Rivals, lists OSU among his options. Mossakowski, from Frisco, Texas, threw for 2,963 yards and 19 TDs last season.

Mossakowski performed well at the U.S. Army junior combine. The only concern would be he is a pro style quarterback, not a dual threat.

Others who have OSU on their early list of choices include dual threat quarterbacks Tyler Tettleton (Norman North), Cameron Lawrence (Senatobia, Miss.), Shavodrick Beaver (Wichita Falls Rider) and Jacob Karam (Friendswood, Texas).

Tettleton, recovering from knee surgery, is the son of former OSU baseball great Mickey Tettleton. Two other quarterbacks worth monitoring are listed on Rivals top 100 national list: Tyrik Rollison (Sulphur Springs, Texas) and Tate Forcier (San Diego).

Junior Day II: OSU held its second junior day session Saturday. It's uncertain how many players attended. About 30 or 40 juniors were expected.
