Hambly homered and scored twice in the Cowboys' 3-1 victory in Game 1, then slugged another home run and drove in four runs in Oklahoma State's 10-3 win in the nightcap.
Three of Hambly's RBIs in the second game came during an eight-run rally against Gonzaga starter C.J. McClure (0-1) in the fourth inning.
After Rebel Ridling drew a leadoff walk, Donnie Webb and Hambly hit back-to-back home runs to tie the game at 3. Jordy Mercer had a two-run single to put the Cowboys ahead, and Hambly added a two-run single to finish the big inning. He also had a run-scoring groundout in the seventh inning.
Jeff Breedlove (1-0) won in relief for Oklahoma State, which got only two-thirds of an inning from starter Thomas Keeling. Keeling walked four batters while allowing the Bulldogs to score three times.
Tyler Blandford pitched three scoreless innings for his first save.
In the first game, Hambly walked and scored on Michael Dabbs' double in the third inning, when the Cowboys scored twice to take a 2-1 lead. He added a solo home run to left field in the seventh inning to provide an insurance run.
Matt Gardner (1-0) gave up three hits in five innings to get the win for Oklahoma State, and Mercer pitched a perfect ninth for his first save.
The Bulldogs got their only run when Evan Wells led off the game with a double and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Brett Nicholas. Starter Matt Fields (0-1) allowed three runs and seven hits to take the loss for Gonzaga.
Matt Hague added an RBI single for the Cowboys.
