NEW YORK — To help demystify math and science for children on those topics that Mom and Dad can’t help with, Scholastic has launched StudyJams!, an online learning experience for children in grades 3-6.
It takes the most challenging math and science topics and explains them in a way children can understand, through animated videos, karaoke songs, interactive tutorials, quizzes and more.
StudyJams! has taken children’s interest in music-based entertainment to the next level and created something educational and fun. Children can earn points to create downloadable MP3 tracks, and Study-Jams! allows parents to track their children’s progress.
StudyJams! was developed by Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, working with elementary math and science teachers. The program is based on state and national testing standards.
StudyJams! lets parents manage a master account so they can easily track the progress of several children. The home subscription costs $9.95 per month or $99 annually, and includes a 14-day free trial.
StudyJams! is available to educators at an annual cost of $79. For more information or to subscribe, go online to www.scholastic.com/studyjams.
