Starting switch
Junior Terrel Harris started in place of freshman James Anderson on Tuesday night. It was the first time this season – and thus in his Oklahoma State career – that Anderson did not start. OSU coach Sean Sutton said Anderson did not start because he was about three minutes late to a team meeting.

Harris started the first 19 games of the season but was replaced by Obi Muonelo prior to the Oklahoma game in late January.

•Technically speaking: Sutton was whistled for a technical foul midway thorough the first half. Sutton disagreed with an offensive foul called on Harris when the junior was driving in transition.

It was only the second time Sutton has received a technical this season. The first time was at Kansas State.

•Silencing the crowd: After he hit the game-winning shot, Byron Eaton could be seen talking to the Missouri fans. Eaton said it was something he had been doing all game long, every time he hit a shot.

"Throughout the game they were saying some mean things,” Eaton said. "After I hit that last shot I wanted to hear what they had to say then.”

But in true Eaton fashion, the junior promptly apologized.

"That's something I shouldn't be doing,” Eaton said. "I didn't need to do that so I'm gonna apologize to the coaches and my teammates for doing that. That's very unprofessional what I did.”

•Back on the bench: Oklahoma State assistant coach James Dickey was back on the bench for Tuesday night's game in Columbia. Dickey missed Saturday's win over Kansas after his father died last week in Arkansas.

The funeral was Monday, and Dickey drove up to Columbia and joined the team on Tuesday.

•Cold in Columbia: Prior to Tuesday night's win, OSU was 6-43 against Missouri in Columbia. From 1979 until 1996, OSU did not win once in Columbia, and the Cowboys have never won back-to-back games in Columbia.

•Fewer free throws: In OSU's five games prior to the Missouri game, the Cowboys made more free throws (104) than their opponents attempted (100).

That trend was bucked by the Tigers. OSU attempted just eight free throws, while Missouri made 12 of 17.

Eaton was notably absent from the line, making one of two. Eaton said he had a hard time getting a read on how the officials were calling fouls, which impacted his ability to drive to the basket.
