Hargis ready to take the reins at OSU

Burns Hargis expects to start his duties as president of Oklahoma State University in about 10 days.

The OSU Board of Regents is scheduled to approve his contract and starting date at its March 7 meeting. Gov. Brad Henry signed into law Thursday a bill that allows the Oklahoma City banker to become OSU's president earlier than state law had previously allowed.
