The guy wearing No. 00 for Oklahoma State sure looks like Byron Eaton, but the junior point guard sure hasn't been playing the way he'd played his first two-plus years in Stillwater. Could Lord Byron take the Cowboys to the NCAA Tournament? Would that make him Lord of the Dance?

Byron Eaton: I wouldn't say my life, but ... it's the best I've played since I've been here.

JC: Any chance that the switch to the mohawk had anything to do with the recent surge?

BE: I think I started playing good just wearing my hair out.

JC: What motivated you to go with the 'hawk?

BE: Every couple months I like to change things up, and I just change my hair.

JC: So, you just wake up one morning feeling like a mohawk?

BE: Me and my teammates were talking about it. They had seen an old picture. I just tried a new look. Hopefully, it changed my team.

JC: Once it starts growing out, do you still call it a mohawk?

BE: I don't know what they call it. I don't call it anything. I just call it my haircut.

JC: Any more wild haircuts up your sleeve?

BE: I've been thinking about a few more.
