It's a good time to be an Oklahoma State basketball player, according to Byron Eaton. OSU has won five straight games, and six of their last seven. It feels a lot better to walk around campus on that streak than it did when OSU was 2-7 in the conference less than a month ago.
"After we took that (21-point loss at Kansas State), guys didn't want to put their sweatshirt on going to class,” Eaton said. "It feels a lot better. The students, they always saying ‘Hey' and now they're speaking to us and want to sit down and eat lunch with you and everything. It feels a lot better when you're able to walk around campus when you're trying your best and you get some wins out of it (instead of) you try your best but you're losing.”
The Cowboys knew they were up for an onslaught of attention after beating No. 4 Kansas last weekend.
"After we beat Kansas, just in the locker room, the guys were like ‘Man, I'm gonna dress up tomorrow and walk around campus. ‘It's just little things like that, just how you feel.”
