While Marcus Dove's road to senior night has been altered by some bumps in the road, Tyler Hatch has certainly taken an even more unusual path to playing his final game in Gallagher-Iba.

Hatch played some junior college basketball, then got out of the game altogether for a year, moving to Las Vegas and working as a pool guy and a bartender. But basketball beckoned, and when Hatch's dad, Mike, joined OSU's staff, Tyler came along.

"He's been a blue-collar worker,” OSU coach Sean Sutton said. "He's accepted his role, he shows up every day and works hard on the practice court.”

Hatch has played more than eight minutes a game in his two-year career at OSU, including "a part in some big wins,” Sutton said.

"The Texas (triple-overtime win) last year, Missouri this year, Nebraska the other day,” Sutton said. "He's smart and tough and he knows his role. He's a good defender. He's been good to have.”
