Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said one reason play-calling really won't be an issue during the spring is so many of the practices and scrimmages are determined before practice begins.

Co-offensive coordinators Gunter Brewer and Trooper Taylor tentatively are scheduled to call plays in the April 12 orange-white spring game.
"Seventy-five percent of what we do in the spring is scripted,” Gundy said. "Then when we scrimmage it's scripted because there are certain things we want to get run. The defense wants to see certain things.”
•Second practice: The Cowboys went through their second spring practice in shorts and helmets on Wednesday. They will wear pads for the first time on Friday.
•Off-season program: The two most important conditioning segments under strength and conditioning coach Rob Glass are the month before spring ball and summer workouts.
"The off-season is the most difficult time because of what he puts them through both mentally and physically,” Gundy said. "What they've gone through the last four or five weeks is pretty difficult. If you make it through that then spring ball is considerably easier.
"They're in good shape. The junior college players who came in at the semester are out of shape. They won't be in shape until July. They have to fight through spring ball. We'll push them and see how far they can come along during these 15 practices.”
•Fast pace: To fully evaluate newcomers one key is to practice at a pace to monitor conditioning and stamina.
"You want to get them moving around, and not walking, practicing at a fast tempo,” Gundy said. "You want them in the right spots, lined up on video so you can show them (things) in the meetings.”

Roy is pretty pathetic, and the "I'm a man" joke has been RUN TO THE GROUND. It's nt funny anymore, and never really was. You probably think Adam Sandler movies are hilarius. And no, I think they will go 8-4 this year.
Thanks Paul. I strive to be a better person each day and your feedback is essential in my development. Thanks to your support I feel like I'm on the right track. But speaking of reading what we write...I like grammar Paul…and I think it's important to support it. So how about you read what you wrote Mr. Wizard? "I there anything in there positive except feeding your ego."
Roy, read what you write and think about it. I there anything in there positive except feeding your ego. That is if you count that positive. Find something you like and support it.
I know Chase you're so right...I'm lacking in my life. Trust me, Kenny is working with me now on being a better person. I want to turn a corner and get better and your comments might be the kick in the fanny I need to do it? It hurts me that it's so obvious I never attended college...maybe one day I can be like you Chase...one can only hope. Speaking of getting better, will the Pokes go better than 5-7 in football this year? I'm just asking...
roy, GROW UP!!! if all you can do through life is find different ways to insult OSU and anything that relates to the university, you're pathetic. here's a stat for you, 50% of OU's fan base didn't even go to college, and no i don't go to OSU. at least for people who like OSU, they had to have been in stillwater for a reason. it takes a bigger man to support a team that struggles than one that wins
"Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said one reason play-calling really won't be an issue during the spring is we realistically plan on going 5-7 this year." He later followed up his statement by declaring, "I'M A MAN...I'M 40!!!"
