Jay Norvell was hired as OU's co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.

But his title at OU has changed to "assistant offensive coordinator.”
Likewise, Bobby Jack Wright's title has changed from co-defensive coordinator to "assistant defensive coordinator.”
The change is in title only — everyone's jobs have remained the same.
The reason for the alteration was to keep the titles "defined” for OU's primary coordinators — offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and defensive coordinator Brent Venables.
•Jackson continues to impress: Cornerback Brian Jackson didn't play much last season, other than relieving Dominique Franks during the Fiesta Bowl when OU was depleted at defensive back.
But perhaps no other Sooner has made as much as improvement from that point until now.
"Brian Jackson has had a great winter and has showed a lot of promise,” coach Bob Stoops said before spring drills began.
And praise for Jackson continues.
Said Stoops after the first practice: "He got his hands on more balls today than maybe any corner we've had in the past six or seven years.”
Jackson will be battling Franks, Jamell Fleming and Jonathan Nelson for one of two vacant starting cornerback spots.
•OU will have third workout today: The Sooners will conduct their third spring practice, the first in full pads, this afternoon. OU also will practice Wednesday before taking a week and a half off for spring break.
The Sooners will resume spring drills on March 24. The first scrimmage, which will be open to the public, will be March 29.
•Sooners to have pro day Tuesday: OU will conduct its pro day testing Tuesday morning for those eligible for the NFL Draft to perform in front of scouts. The event is closed to the public.
