Comanche man killed in early morning crash

LINDSAY — A 19-year-old Comanche resident was killed early today when his vehicle struck a tree and caught fire, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Andrew Lee Perkins was southbound on State Highway 76 eight miles south of Lindsay when his vehicle ran off the left side of the road, striking the tree. He died at the scene of the wreck, which occurred about 5 a.m.

It is unknown whether Perkins was wearing a seat belt.
