About the Bucs: Won Atlantic Sun Tournament.

Familiar opponents: Defeated Alabama, but the Crimson Tide was 8-22. The Bucs are 0-4 against NCAA Tournament teams, all mid-majors seeded No. 9 or lower, but all four games were single digits.

Coach: Karen Kemp (14th year, 194-204)

Noteworthy: This is East Tennessee State's first NCAA Tournament appearance. The Bucs are led by 5-foot-11 forwards Siarre Evans (13.4 average) and Michelle DeVault (12.8).

Ohio State (22-8)
Seed: 6

RPI: 36

About the Buckeyes: The Buckeyes tied for the Big Ten regular season title (11-5).

Familiar opponents: Ohio State defeated Purdue, Iowa and Minnesota, three conference rivals that are all No. 9 seeds. The Buckeyes also defeated Nebraska 86-74.

Coach: Jim Foster (sixth year, 152-38; career, 30th year 656-265).

Noteworthy: The Buckeyes, making their sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance under Foster, are led by 6-foot-4 freshman center Jantel Lavender, named co-Big Ten Player of the Year (17.5 average). A top 10 power in recent years, Ohio State wasn't as dominant this season after losing All-American center Jessica Davenport.

Florida State (18-13)
Seed: 11

RPI: 59

About the Seminoles: Florida State finished 7-7 in the ACC during the regular season. Received an at-large berth.

Familiar opponents: The Seminoles didn't post a win over a team in the NCAA Tournament field but were competitive against No. 2 seeds Texas A&M (81-67) and LSU (73-61).

Coach: Sue Semrau (11th season, 178-151).

Noteworthy: The Seminoles, making their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, reached the Sweet 16 last year. They've played better late in the season after struggling at times because of suspensions and grade issues. They are led by 5-11 guard Tanae Davis-Cain (14.8 average) and 6-1 forward Mara Feshour (12.5).

The OSU regional looks solid, but that Cowgirls can certainly win their first game. I see them moving on to the Sweet 16 this season at the least.

Arron, thanks for letting us know that sooner birth and breeding is the cause for your problems--now science can go to work on how to fix it for the future.

OSU first opponent is their own fanbase, who is pouting about where they are playing. How about some positive input like (wow! a number 3 seed what a favorable position to show the country what we can do.) That is how we do it being sooner born and sooner bred. No charge.
