Susan Ogden's run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave
Oklahoma a 3-2 win over Kansas on Friday in a
Big 12 softball game.
Ogden's game-winner came with the bases loaded against
Valerie George, whose teammates tied the game 2-2 with a run in the top of the ninth. OU (26-8) had two hits from
Amber Flores and a good outing from pitcher
D.J. Mathis in the conference opener.
Mathis (17-3) struck out a game-high seven.
The
Sooners and
Jayhawks play again at 1:30 p.m. today at the OU Softball Complex.
