Warm-up to continue this week in Oklahoma

Southwesterly and southerly winds will become strong and gusty by midday, especially across the western half of Oklahoma. Warmer temperatures are also expected with highs from the mid-60s to lower 70s, according to the National Weather Service.
The wildfire potential today for the state will bevery high to extreme, forecasters said.
Relative humidity will range from 20 to 35 percent, with winds 20 to 25 mph and gusting to 35 mph.
High temperatures will range from the mid-60s to the lower 70s. Lows tonight will dip into the mid-30s and upper 40s.
Warm, dry and breezy weather will persist through much of the week.
Highs on Tuesday are expected to be in the lower 70s.
Rain chances will be limited to the area east of Interstate 35 late Wednesday and again Thursday night.
The temperature in Oklahoma City at 1 p.m. today was 59 degrees. Southerly winds were about 20 mph.
In Tulsa, the temperature was 59 degrees. Southerly winds were 15 to 20 mph. Today's high will be in the lower 60s. Winds will be 15 to 20 mph, gusting to 30 mph.
Flood warning issued
A flood warning is effective until Tuesday morning for the Poteau River near Panama in Le Flore County, according to the weather service.
At 7 a.m. Monday, the river's level was about 1 1/2 feet above the 29-feet flood stage.
Minor agricultural flooding is occurring and Williams Road east of Panama may be flooded, forecasters said.

• Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 70s. Southwesterly winds 15 to 20 mph.
• Tuesday night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Southerly winds about 15 mph.
