ENID — An Enid man was one of four U.S. Soldiers killed in Iraq Sunday, family members confirmed.
Staff Sgt. Chris Hake, 26, was killed after his Bradley Fighting Vehicle hit an improvised explosive device in southern Baghdad, according to the soldier's father, Pete Hake.
Pete Hake said he was informed by soldiers from Fort Sill that his son was in the vehicle with four other soldiers at the time of the explosion. Four of them died, including Chris Hake, and a fifth was injured.
Funeral services are pending, but Pete Hake said he would like the service to be at Oklahoma Bible Academy in Enid, where his son graduated.
Chris Hake is the 65th Oklahoma service member to die in Iraq.
