Unseasonably warm, windy conditions today will increase the wildfire danger in western sections of the state.
Eastern Oklahoma will have the best shot at precipitation as a storm system moves south into warm air over the state. If any storms form, they could be severe, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs today will reach the 70s. By tonight, there will be a slight chance of rain in extreme southeastern Oklahoma and lows will range from near 40 in the Panhandle to near 60 in the southeast, forecasters said.

A fire weather watch will be effective from Thursday afternoon to Thursday evening for Beckham, Comanche, Cotton, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Roger Mills, Tillman, Washita and Woodward counties.

There will be a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday, with highs reaching the 70s and 80s and lows ranging from the 30s in the Panhandle to the upper 50s in eastern Oklahoma.
A cold front Thursday night and Friday will move across Oklahoma, with a chance of thunderstorms east of Interstate 35. A cooler airmass behind the front will lower temperatures closer to normal on Friday and Saturday.
The temperature in Oklahoma City at 10 a.m. today was 65 degrees. Southerly winds were about 15 mph, gusting to about 25 mph.
In Tulsa, the temperature was 65 degrees. Southerly winds were about 20 mph, gusting to near 30 mph. Today's high will be in the mid-70s with a 20 percent chance or rain.
