•Stillwater sendoff: A sendoff rally is set for 1:15 today at Stillwater Municipal Airport. Fans, friends and family are invited. The team flight is scheduled to depart at 2:30 p.m. Fans attending the sendoff are asked to park across the street from the terminal.
•Fan package: Triple Play Sports radio of Stillwater is sponsoring an air trip to New Orleans for the regional: $750 per person provides game tickets, hotel (double occupancy), air fare and ground transportation.
The charter leaves Friday morning and will return Saturday night if the Cowgirls lose but two days later if the Cowgirls beat LSU. The price is the same no matter the length of stay. For more information, contact Triple Play at (405) 377-5325.
•Cordero sits out:OSU center Maria Cordero was sick and sat out practice Wednesday. An athletic trainer said Cordero should be fine.
•Land of giants: LSU sports 6-foot-6 all-American center Sylvia Fowles, but she won't be the tallest opponent OSU's Andrea Riley has gone against.
"I played against a 7-foot Canadian,” said Riley, a 5-3 point guard.
How'd that go?
"I didn't go in the paint,” Riley said. "I knew she was going to toss my shot out. I didn't challenge her. I went around her, but I didn't challenge her.”
