Oklahoma State center David Washington, who suffered a broken leg in last year's game at Troy in September, practiced unrestricted for the first time Wednesday afternoon.

The soon-to-be senior had participated in previous practices, but coach Mike Gundy said it was his first time in "thud situations.”
"It felt real good,” Washington said. "I had a real anxious feeling. I just wanted to hit somebody and get back on the field.”
Andrew Lewis, who will be a junior in the fall, replaced Washington at center for the remainder of the season. Washington was the second-team center Wednesday, and Gundy said he wasn't sure where offensive line coach Joe Wickline will shuffle Lewis and Washington. Grant Garner can also play center, after backing up Lewis last season.
Said Gundy, "It's a good situation for us, to have three legitimate centers.”
Backup battle: Incoming freshman Brandon Weeden and sophomore Alex Cate continue to compete to be Zac Robinson's backup at quarterback. Gundy said Wednesday that neither one has emerged as the favorite.
"They're both doing fine, but neither one has just taken off with it,” Gundy said.
Gundy said he doesn't yet know if the staff will decide the backup position by the end of spring ball next month.
Junior college adjustments: Gundy said he continues to be impressed by the incoming junior college players.
On Wednesday, Gundy complimented the play of running back Beau Johnson and several defensive transfers, saying defensive tackle Swanson Miller "continues to show up,” Lucien Antoine "makes some plays at the safety position” and defensive end Jeremiah Price "is getting a little bit better.”
Back on Broadway: Last season's freshman sensation, receiver Dez Bryant, and the stunning return of Artrell Woods from a major back injury, have made most of the headlines for the receivers. But the Cowboys also return Jeremy Broadway, who caught 13 passes in the 10 games he played before being suspended for OSU's last couple games after a misdemeanor drug possession charge.
"Jeremy's improved,” Gundy said. "Prior to his departure from the team he was one of the hardest players on the team.”

I just looked at every football related story on the OU link here. Guess what? No Roy! So I guess you really don't care what the Sooners are doing and commenting. I guess it is much more satisfying to go to another teams site and try to make yourself feel superior when in fact you are displaying to the world what a pitiful and lonely person you must be. Either get some help or just go the the OU site and say something positive about your team. That's what fans do, support their team. At least when you say, "we won," you can feel you contributed.
Arron, can't wait to see that 3 touchdown win. I am guessing you haven't watched the Bedlam games in Stillwater the last 3 or 4 times they have played.
They will lose to OU by three touchdowns. I'd like to see them beat Texas, but I doubt it. You boys are awfully sensitive about ol' Roy. Put that psychology to use on yourselves.
Ask Roy if he cares about OSU and he will tell you "no", but just look what he tries to write on our boards. Alot of stupid talk from a Sooner, as ususal. Worried about the game in Stillwater? We can tell.
What kind of a ridiculous person reads a benign article about another school's team and goes on their web site to talk trash??? I'll tell you, it's the kind of person who feels so deficient in his own manhood that he has to wrap himself in the success of others (i.e., u of o football) just to feel significant (like so many of Roy's gooner friends). It's pitiable really. Here are some safe bets for you - Roy, I'll bet that you have never graduated from the u of o with any kind of degree, in fact, I'll bet you never stepped foot on the u of o campus as a student. And further, I'd bet that you never played a down of organized football beyond middle school. And yet you're the big man talking big because "your" team is better than everyone else's. How pathetic. Why don't you do all the grown-ups here a big favor and go play with your own little friends.
Roy, I am an OSU fan and probably one of the more objective ones as far as how many wins we can obtain. But for you to say we will go 5-7 is probably the most ridiculous Sooner tainted theory one can muster. There is no way that this team will do any worse than 7-5. Granted, that is still not successful in my eyes nor should it be in anyone's eyes, but for you to think we would lose to Iowa St or Baylor at home is a solid indication of how crimson your goggles really are. Do us all a favor. Either offer something objectively and without bias or stay on your own article threads.
Going down the schedule the 6th win will come in week 7 against Baylor. That will be followed by 2-3 more wins. I think people like Roy have a complex about them that makes them talk down to other people and universities to compensate for the lack of something else.
Nathan has me pegged...good call Nathan, you obviously majored in psychological profiling at OSU and not animal husbandry? But you should start a sentence with a capital letter 2nd string. "Orange Death Star"...keep drinking the Kool Aid Jay...maybe eventually someone will believe your fantasy. But first you'll have to sell out a game. Now go wipe your noses.
Roy, Roy, Roy ... now you know why Poke fans roll their eyes when Sooners try to say OSU is not a rival. OSU continues to build the "orange death star" on campus, and things will continue to improve. If OSU gets any improvement on defense they'll contend for the conference title.
