A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition after he was shot early today in northwest Oklahoma City, police said.

The man's identity hasn't been released.

About 12:45 a.m., a man flagged down a police officer near NW 10 and MacArthur Boulevard, Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. The man said his brother had been shot during an argument at Auburn Lake Apartments, 6051 NW 10.

The victim had been shot in the chest, Knight said.

“The victim’s brother told police the shooting happened over some incident earlier in the day,” Knight said.

The shooter's first name is the only suspect information that has been given to police.

Those with information about the shooting are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
