Several MLB viewing options offered this season

The Texas Rangers will make the most appearances of any major league team on Oklahoma City television this season. Cox Communications viewers can catch 131 Rangers' telecasts, including 110 on FSN and 21 on Cox's supplemental baseball package, primarily on channel 7 with a few games on channel 2. FSN's package also will include 65 games in HD, available on Cox 722.

Josh Lewin, former Rangers general manager Tom Grieve and roving reporter Jim Knox return as the broadcast team.

Here's a look at other teams and packages available this season:

•St. Louis Cardinals: Cox will carry 120 games on its supplemental package. Dan McLaughlin and former reliever Al Hrabosky will be the main announcers. Rick Horton, another former Cardinals pitcher, will handle 10 games.

•Houston Astros: FSN will carry 66 Astros games in Oklahoma City, and another 28 will be available on the Cox package. Bill Brown and former Astros pitcher Jim Deshaies are the least exciting of the area's broadcast teams.

•Chicago Cubs: This might be a banner year for the Cubs, who will have 66 games on WGN. Len Kaspar and Bob Brenly are back in the booth.

•Chicago White Sox: WGN will air 31 games with Hawk Harrelson and Darrin Jackson, two of the biggest homers among MLB announcers.

•Sunday MLB on TBS: Atlanta Braves fans are out of luck this season. TBS has replaced its longstanding Braves telecasts with a 26-game package of Sunday afternoon games. Chip Caray will do the play-by-play with Ron Darling and Buck Martinez alternating as analysts. The opener will be Boston at Toronto at noon April 6.

•MLB on Fox: Fox will air 26 games on Saturday afternoon and the All-Star Game on July 15. The first game will be the New York Mets at Atlanta at 2:30 p.m. April 5.

•ESPN and ESPN2: Will carry about 80 games, primarily on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights.

•MLB Extra Innings: Up to 80 out-of-market games a week are available on satellite or digital cable. Cost is $199 or $159 if ordered by April 6. Royals, Cardinals, Astros and Rangers games are blacked out due to territorial restrictions.
