Approximately 500 fans held a pep rally a week ago at the Stillwater airport to send off Oklahoma State's women's basketball team to the NCAA Tournament.

Four days later, just after midnight, the Cowgirls returned home. While they were gone, they won two games at Wells Fargo Arena to advance to the Sweet 16 for only the second time in school history.

Fans see the games on ESPN2. But that's only four hours. What did the Cowgirls do with the other 100 hours they were in Des Moines, Iowa?

How do players make up missed class assignments? What's it like to be on the road on Easter Sunday? Who is the team comedian? What do coaches tell players during film sessions in preparation for a game where one loss ends your season?

The Oklahoman provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Cowgirls' trip to Des Moines, capped by a wild 73-72 overtime win over Florida State that earned another trip, this one to New Orleans to play LSU in a regional semifinal.
