This spring, you're taking over for a guy in Garrett Hartley who had a lot of success kicking the ball. How's the process of replacing him going so far?

I've been kicking the ball real well lately. I've been getting better height and distance on the ball. Taking over for Garrett, though, that's going to be some big shoes to fill. I'm just going to do the best I can.

Next fall, you're going to be battling one of your friends, incoming freshman Tress Way, for the starting kicking job. What kind of relationship do you two have?

I know Tress well; I have been to many kicking competitions with him. He's a great kicker. The job is not going to be handed over to me, I'm going to have to work for it, have a good summer and hopefully it works out.

Is power the main thing you're working on?

Yeah, power, and getting height on the ball. Distance is coming along. Kickoffs are going well lately.

When you were looking at schools, what was it about OU that made you choose to come here?

I've been an OU fan my whole life. I liked the winning tradition and the coaches seemed nice and they are, so I don't have anything to complain about.

It's very exciting to be here. I feel like all my hard work in high school has paid off.
