How is Austin Box doing? I know he redshirted last year, but after looking at his high school films everyone thought he was the next Teddy Lehman or Rocky Calmus. — William, Destin, Fla.

Box has the potential to be a special player, but missing the spring with an elbow sprain could really hurt him. According to coaches, Box was having a solid spring and was projected to start at outside linebacker before the injury.

The competition is going to be tough for him in the fall with Travis Lewis and juco transfers Mike Balogun and J.R. Bryant vying for the same spot. Box needs to get healthy and back on the field as quickly as possible or someone might take that place in the starting lineup.

How difficult do you consider OU's schedule next season? — James, Houston

Next year's regular-season schedule shapes up really well for the Sooners to make a run at the national championship game. Their only non-conference road game is at Washington, who was horrible last year. Cincinnati and TCU are good, but not great, and are games OU should be favored in by double digits.

The Big 12 schedule is favorable, too. OU doesn't have to play Missouri, which will probably be a preseason Top 10 team. And Kansas, Nebraska and Texas Tech all come to Norman.

Other than Texas, which lost several talented offensive players, OU's toughest game of the year could be in Stillwater, where the Sooners have won the last two Bedlam games played there by just a combined nine points.

Great you are already having OU win all their games. I hope the players do not read the press clippings or your article and start believing they do not have to play hard. The Sooners need to learn to play each game lights out and play to their best ability each play. That did not happen last year.
