Fans at Saturday's Oklahoma State spring game got to see an improved defense and an improved stadium. Renovations on Boone Pickens Stadium aren't complete, but construction progress now makes it easier to picture what the completed project will look like.

All of the cement is complete in the west end zone, but the seating is not yet installed except for the first seven rows or so. Fans were able to sit in those bottom rows for the spring game.

On the suite level on top, which isn't scheduled to be finished until 2009, the façade is yet to be finished.

An OSU spokesman said the project remains on schedule for the seating to be complete for OSU's home opener this fall. The suites, offices, locker rooms and exterior are scheduled to be complete in time for OSU's 2009 season opener.

Shame it still isn't as nice as OU's facility. Why would you spend a little money and have 2nd rate facilities? T-Bone should have put down a cool billion and made the biggest, cleanest, most-ergonomical stadium ever conceived by a white man. I mean when money is no object, treat it like it is no object. Not go 2nd rate. Why not 150,000 seats, Cheerleaders serving drinks, and halftime entertainment by Garth Brooks. That would demand some interest. Make Jerry Jones feel he is too careful with his money. Hell I might hop on the bandwagon for that party. Not a Garth Brooks fan, but your cheerleaders are generally really hot.
