Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder made an interesting statement last week about his future men's basketball coach.

"Everybody will have a certain opinion the day he is announced, but the real proof in the pudding will be eight years down the road when you look at the body of work,” Holder said.
Sean Sutton resigned under pressure on April 1 after just two years as OSU's head coach.
Holder also warned against inflated expectations, saying "just because somebody has been successful at another place doesn't mean they are going to be successful here.”
•Signing soon: The regular signing period for basketball starts on Wednesday and runs through May 21. OSU signed two players — Pawnee's Keiton Page and junior college player Dee Proby — during the early signing period in the fall and have one scholarship spot open for next season. If Proby does not end up at OSU — there have been questions about his academic situation, but he said he plans to graduate and be eligible but is waiting to see what happens with OSU's coaching situation — the Cowboys could have two spots available for next season.
OSU used 12 of its 13 scholarships last year, failing to fill the one that opened up when Kenny Cooper departed unexpectedly the week before school started. JamesOn Curry's scholarship, which became available after he left for the NBA before his senior year, was given to senior Tyler Hatch. Those two scholarships, plus senior Marcus Dove's, are the three open for newcomers next season.

As long as it is taking to even get a list together, does this mean that James Dickey will have his contract extended? If not, who will be in charge of signing the players mentioned above and stearing the program through the remaining spring? Holder is WAY OVER HIS HEAD on this one.
Holder's statement proves he is a liar. He wants 8 years for his selected new coach to prove himself and he only gives Sean 2????????????? Sean was obviously fired due to the personal, selfish desires of Holder and Pickens. Now that Self has shown he is smart enough not to work for Holder no matter the money, we will be scraping the bottom of the barrel for a coach desperate enough for the bucks to come here.
