Stern says Seattle made little effort to keep team
NEW YORK — Almost a year ago, NBA Commissioner David Stern faced a sellout crowd of 19,164 inside the Ford Center and said goodbye to Oklahoma City .
"Thank you to the fans of this most major-league of cities,” Stern said before the Hornets' final home game. "I look forward to the day when the NBA will return.”
