House, Senate vote to override governor's abortion bill veto
State legislators today voted to override Gov. Brad Henry 's veto of an anti-abortion bill.
House members voted 81-15 to override the governor's veto less than an hour after senators voted 37-11 to do the same. In the House, 68 votes were needed to override the veto; 32 votes were needed in the Senate.
It was the first veto override of Henry since he took office in 2003.
