Showing support
State Fair Speedway officials will be collecting birthday cards tonight for 12-year-old
Harli White.
White was severely burned when her mini sprint car went up in flames and she was trapped inside at
I-44 Speedway on April 5.
She is currently being treated for third degree burns at
Shriners Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas. Cards can be dropped off in the Speedway office.
White's birthday is Thursday.
"We thought with her birthday coming up, this would be a great way for
State Fair Speedway fans to show support and show we are a great racing community,” said
Connie Root, who is in charge of advertising and promotions at
State Fair Speedway.
