The Cowboys (26-11, 10-7 Big 12) trailed by three runs but scored one in the eighth and three more in the ninth. Matt Hague's RBI single in the eighth made the score 7-5, setting the stage for Dabbs' game-tying hit an inning later.
After Dabbs' single brought home Neil Medchill and Rafael Thomas, Donnie Webb singled up the middle to score Dabbs for the winning run.
Medchill finished with three RBIs, all of them coming on a first-inning home run, part of a four-run inning for Oklahoma State.
The Longhorns (23-15, 8-9) were led by two RBIs apiece from Brandon Belt and David Hernandez.
The win went to reliever Robbie Weinhardt (2-0), with Pat McCrory (0-1) getting the loss.
