Lofton hoping NFL teams ignore his test numbers

In the 1996 NFL Draft, 18 linebackers were selected before the Miami Dolphins took Zach Thomas of Texas Tech in the fifth round.

Few of those other 18 linebackers were as productive in college as Thomas, who had been a Butkus Award finalist, a two-time consensus All-American and the Southwest Conference's defensive player of the year.
