Both lanes of northbound Interstate 35 at NE 36 are now open after a three-vehicle fatality wreck, authorities said.

The names of the victims haven't been released.

Shortly after 10 a.m., a silver Nissan car was southbound on I-35 when it rear-ended a white car, causing the white car to cross the median and collide head-on with a tractor-trailer, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Betsy Randolph said.

The driver of the white car died at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver was taken in serious condition to OU Medical Center, Randolph said. A passenger in the rig was taken to Integris Baptist Medical Center.

The driver of the Nissan was not hurt.

The highway was reopened about 1:30 p.m.
