OKMULGEE — Authorities are looking for a man last seen walking to the residence of an Okmulgee woman found dead in her home last week, said Jessica Brown, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman.

Tammy Harjo, 40, died of blunt force trauma, Brown said. Her body was discovered on Friday inside her home on the city's north side when someone went to check on her, she said.

The unidentified person was seen walking up to Harjo’s home Thursday evening.

Brown described the man as American Indian, approximately 20 years old, 6 feet tall with a slender build. He has a medium complexion and short black hair and was wearing a light red T-shirt, black shorts with a grey cuff, and white tennis shoes.
