Donnita Drain is leaving Langston to become the new women's basketball coach at Grambling State.

Langston was 84-12 over the past three seasons under Drain. The Taloga native coached 13 seasons at the NAIA school. The Lions had nine consecutive winning seasons under the coach, who played collegiately at Northwestern Oklahoma State.

"This experience is bittersweet,” Drain said. "When as much time and effort is invested in a program, it is painful to leave.”

OSU in third place: Oklahoma State finished the first day of the NCAA Central Regional Golf Tournament in third place on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. The Cowboys shot a 9-over-par 293 as a team and finished three shots behind leader Wake Forest.
