Share “Arizona State coach's grandson is OK”

Arizona State softball coach Clint Myers’ 20-month-old grandson was hospitalized on Saturday at Integris Baptist Medical Center after getting sick at the Women's College World Series. Cole Myers was diagnosed with the flu and released after about five hours in the hospital.

“He’s our littlest fan,” Clint Myers said. “We’re just really excited he’s on his way to recovery. The people at Integris, they were awesome.”

Cole Myers, Clint Myers “pride and joy” and only grandchild, was born 31/2-half months premature and weighed only 1-pound, 8 ounces at birth.

“His head was the size of a baseball,” Clint Myers said. “He would literally fit in your hand.”
