;
Name: Sherman Smith Training Center, in honor of the alumnus who donated $20 million earmarked for the facility.

•Location: Across Hall of Fame from T. Boone Pickens Stadium.

•Dimensions: 330 feet, 8 inches north to south and 464 feet, 8 inches east to west. The overall height from the field level to the very top of the roof is 104 feet, 8 inches. "It's not going to be tight from the sidelines to the walls, and there will be a 90-foot clear span in it so you can punt,” athletic director Mike Holder said.

•Appearance: "It will have a nice brick façade to match the football stadium and Gallaher-Iba Arena,” Holder said. "It will have the Georgian architecture that's prominent on our campus.”

•What it will include: A full-size soccer field and football field and a track straightaway. Space and features for baseball and softball, including batting cage nets that will come from the ceiling. A separate indoor tennis facility is scheduled to come later.

•Hurdles to clear before construction can start: Holder says they must finish moving two sewer lines, get the city of Stillwater to vacate the streets and make sure Pickens' fund is at a high level. "If all those things get done and the money's there, we'll start Oct. 1,” Holder said.

•Who wants it more? "Every time Mike Gundy tells me how important that indoor is and we should put it on the fast track, I said, ‘Mike, you don't need to remind us. I know you want it, but Boone Pickens wants it a lot more than you do.'”
