NBC, Notre Dame extend TV deal
Notre Dame and NBC on Thursday announced a new five-year agreement under which NBC will televise Irish home football games through 2015, which will mark the 25th year of the partnership. The extension provides NBC rights to eight Notre Dame home games from 2011-15, seven games at Notre Dame Stadium and an additional eighth off-site home game airing in primetime each year. Among those telecasts will be an OU-Notre Dame game from South Bend, Ind., in 2012. NBC will begin televising eight Notre Dame games in 2009.

Hill, a self-proclaimed Detroit Pistons fan, since has issued an apology for writing, "Rooting for the Celtics is like saying Hitler was a victim. It's like hoping Gorbachev would get to the blinking red button before Reagan.”
