Boyd reeling in offers
Norman-based guard Terrence Boyd has been one of the most impressive prospects on the AAU circuit this summer. Playing with Athletes First, Boyd has seen his stock skyrocket. He's often been among the top players at events Athletes First has attended, according to recruiting analysts.

The 6-5, 225-pound shooting guard claims offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Marquette, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Baylor, Western Kentucky and UConn among others. Oklahoma has also shown strong interest.

"I love UK, Western Kentucky, OU and K-State,” Boyd said of his favorites.

Both OU and OSU are in the mix for Boyd.

"(OU coach Jeff) Capel is changing the program a lot,” Boyd said. "It's a lot more running up and down.”

And OSU, with new head coach Travis Ford, is also making a strong push.

"I'm cool with Keiton (Page), I like their court because the fans are close and it's not that far from home,” said Boyd, who expects to make his decision shortly before this season. "Coach Ford is a cool, down-to-earth guy who wants to win. He knows what he wants, and if he likes you, he tells you.”

Boyd has gone to Kentucky, OSU and Baylor for elite camps. He said he also stopped by OU's elite camp earlier this month. He will spend the next few days at Paul Pierce Camp in Los Angeles.

•Foster favors basketball: Guthrie athlete Donte Foster stars in football, basketball and track for the reigning Class 5A football and basketball state champions. The 6-3, 170-pounder is receiving college interest in all three sports.

"I want to play basketball,” Foster said of his college preference.

Interest in Foster has picked up this summer while playing with Putnam City guard Xavier Henry and Bishop McGuinness forward Daniel Orton — two recruits ranked among the Top 10 in the Class of 2009 — on Athletes First.

LSU, Stanford, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Iowa, Iowa State and Wichita State have shown interest in Foster to playbasketball.
