Russell Westbrook hardly can believe how far he's come in such a short amount of time.

I like the pick. The rest of the Sonics 08 draft is questionable, though. I was hoping they would make a splash with a trade or two impact players. We'll see in the long run.

I like the pick of Russell Westbrook to the SEATTLE SONICS he will provide the much needed defense that the SEATTLE SONICS are going need and I think he is going to turn out to be a good pro player in SEATTLE

This pick of Westbrook just set us back a couple more years. They might as well play in Seattle for the next 2 years because if they come here, then the Ford Center will be empty by midseason 09' after all the fans realize how we blew this pick by not taking Kevin Love who will be tearing it up for Memphis. If not Love, they could've at least taken DJ Agustin, We know thats who Kevin Durant wanted us to pick and is a way better point guard than Westbrook. Then they make it worse by picking the dude from Congo who wont even be playing for us for at least 3 years. then they pass on guys like CDR and Chalmers. I just think this was a terrible draft for a team that is trying to start fresh in a new city and desperatley needed some NAMES to put butts in the seats.

westbrook will have a bigger impact on jeff green than on durant...his worth will be great if he can get green the ball in a good spot to score, because durant can create his own shot where green needs to be given the ball in a scoring position. A good pick on the surface, but only time will tell.

This selection appears to be similar to the Celtics' Rondo. The Sonics appear to be building a solid foundation with skillfull "non-star" players to compliment their "star" (Durant). Similar to the Hornets surrounding Paul with plenty of talent, but no egos. I like it.
