Immediately. Clay Bennett said the transition from Seattle to Oklahoma City begins today. Players, coaches and the business staff will move as soon as possible.
Could Howard Schultz's pending lawsuit force the team to move back to Seattle?
Only if Shultz were to win the suit. Bennett said he and his partners and the group's legal team are confident the lawsuit is baseless and they will fight it aggressively.
What will be the team nickname?
It won't be Sonics. Bennett said his group will unveil a new nickname and new colors in the next few weeks after considering all the suggestions they've received.
What are the basics of the deal?
Team owners agreed to pay Seattle $45 million now to break its lease. The team will pay another $30 million to Seattle if the Washington Legislature by the end of 2009 approves funding for a new building for a NBA team or for renovation of the KeyArena but Seattle fails to get a team in five years.
When will tickets go on sale?
