•Baseball series debuts: FSN looks back on the glory years of baseball in the 1930s, 40s and 50s — before the sport was hurt the free agency merry-go-round and the scandal — with a 13-part series, "Baseball's Golden Age,” which debuts at 8 p.m. Sunday on FSN Southwest. The series takes advantage of the vast archives of Steven Stern, who compiled a reserve of home movies taken by players and others while producing the "When It Was A Game” trilogy of the 1990s. Actor Anthony LaPaglia provides the narration. The pilot looks at the rivalry between Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams.
•HBO reairs documentaries: With the 2008 Summer Olympic Games approaching, HBO is re-airing some of its most popular and compelling Olympic documentaries, including "Fists of Freedom: The Story of the '68 Summer Games,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday. This 1999 Peabody Award winner revisits the controversial actions of Olympic athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos in Mexico City 40 years ago.
•Versus.com to stream race: Versus.com will offer live streaming of the Tour de France from 5:30-7:30 a.m. Saturday for Stage 1 and 6:00-7:30 a.m. Sunday for Stage 2. Versus' TV coverage will start at 7:30 a.m. both days. The network will on average air 14 hours of race action per day. Daily coverage includes a pre-race show followed by live morning race coverage, race-action replays four times daily and an expanded primetime show.
•NBA Finals dominate rating: ABC's coverage of the NBA Finals were the six highest-rated and most-watched television programs in June. The finals also helped NBA.com set all-time traffic records with nearly 70 million visits and more than 15.5 million video streams throughout the series.
