Oklahoma scene: Remington to host boxing; Thunander book signing scheduled
Coale to speak at AAU tournament
Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale will be a featured speaker at the opening ceremonies for the AAU 13-and-Under Girls' Basketball National Championship in Norman tonight.
The opening ceremony will be held tonight at Lloyd Noble Center. A surprise guest with Sooner ties also will serve as torchbearer when AAU Lead Commissioner Bill Tipps announces the opening of the games. Coale is expected to speak at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Fifty-four teams will compete for the title of national champion in the 13-and-under class. Games begin Saturday at six area venues, and the championship game will be played July 19, at Lloyd Noble Center.

•Boxing at Remington: Remington Park will host six pro boxing matches on Tuesday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m.
The event will feature some of the nation's top undefeated boxers on CatBOX Entertainment's card.
The main event will feature undefeated super middleweight George Tahdooahnippah "Comanche Boy” (12-0-1, 11 KOs). Tahdooahnippah is a member of the Comanche Nation.
