SKIATOOK — I'm hanging on to a metal strut, dangling over the patchwork of green fields a mile beneath my feet.

The guy leaning over beside me, his hand on my shoulder, yells. But I have to read his lips for the word I'm expecting, the one I can't hear over the noise of a 70 mph wind: "Ready?”
